Spoiled Relics

Spoiled Relics is a collection of thirteen stoneware bottles. The collection is inspired by the idea that the things that we enjoy are passed down through generations. The forms are representative of an imagined ancestral potter who made face bottles to hold water and oil for the village. Modern technology was used to recreate deteriorating surfaces to represent age and time and mimic what such relics may have looked like if they had been dug up today. This collection was created at Pepper Pots Pottery and Ceramics, a community studio in Worcester, MA, in 2021.
